| Purpose: | The Perry-Hocking Educational Service Center is located in rural Appalachian Ohio. Many students that attend school in the PHESC area experience poverty, divorce, abuse and neglect at its worst. The purpose of the Elementary Counseling Consortium is to provide hope to families who have only known the frustration of poverty. PHESC counselors are the only local caregivers who share life choices with those who live without them. | |

| Deliverables: | The Elementary Counseling Consortium at the PHESC provides numerous services for participating school districts. Primarily, the program provides individual, small group, and classroom counseling sessions. The program also assists principals with routine activities which is a welcome respite for them. Finally, the Elementary Counseling Consortium provides emergency help for any school having a student behavior problem or grief crisis. | |
